Way out in the woods down a long road with nothing around for miles were no one can here you scream. Over the summer of 1999 my two cousins and i went to a camp in southern New York. Up until a few months before we went neither us or anyone we new had heard of this camp. It took four hours to get there so our parents were very far away.

when we got there we saw these three girls who we immediately said we don't want to be in a cabin with them. Of course we were. At our cabin they tried to make us feel at home and it worked we felt safe. But i don't think we were.

The first 2 days it was like a normal camp we teamed up with the nice girl in our cabin and all decided we did not like the three girls who were all related and we saw the first day we did not like them. They were all very weird and i was afraid to go to sleep at night. Not liking the food at camp my cousins and i ate pbj for the first 2 days and stayed normal until the third day and they no longer served that. We started to not notice things that we later realized were very weird.

One night one of the terrible three got out of bed and we all heard. A girl in the cabin said quietly we should turn on the light. The next thing i knew every one in the cabin was screaming to turn on the lights. I got out my flash light and directed the light ray to the middle of the room were my counselor was sleeping. There was the girl with a broom over the counselor's head ready to hit her. After the broom was out of her hands we all sleep soundly, i don't know how.

That night both my cousin and I heard a man laughing, our cabin was all girls. The friend we had made we'll call Jan was really nice and we never thought anything weird about her. Both her mom and brother were at camp, we saw them and talked to them. Jan would often say how only her dad must be, home by himself. That day she got a letter from her MOM! I read the letter and the last part of it sticks in my mind "Your dad and i are fine here at home, We miss you love, Mom. How sweet, except here mom was right across the cafeteria!

Things progressed on through the week. Every day my cousin Julie would find pills on her bed, no one in our cabin took pills. Every day knew marks were on the cabin ceiling. They looked like axe marks. Our cabin was number 13 and we happened to be there on Friday the 13. That was a strange night. Jan and i were walking to our cabin at around 10 after an activitie. We were scared to go to our cabin because its in the woods and the light was off. As we approached still about 50 yds away the outside lights came on. We were releved that someone else was in there. we opened up the door expecting to find the lights on and people in there. It was dark inside and no one was there. We flicked on the lights had enough time to glance in the cabin then all power in and outside just our cabin went off. then the fire alarm in our cabin went off. We ran screaming into the bath room. After our counselor was back we went back into the cabin and everything was normal.

This being our last night there we were used to the routine. Around 11 at night during a huge thunder and lightning storm we all decided it was time to sleep. About a half hour later there was a light in my eyes. I looked around every one was in there beds and there was a light shinning through the door. Everyone saw it and the man holding the flashlight. My counselor said it was the night guard to make sure we were asleep. He was not there any of the other nights and why would he be out in a storm. I can not explain the weird things, and voices in the night. I'm never going back although i do want to know what happened that week when i was there.
