The White Girl
From: anonymous Story type: Ghost Location: in my room at home/looking outside Source: Form Submission
One night, about a year ago, I was in my room looking out
the window at the moon. Now you might say that this isn't
very interesting but it was. It was a very clear night
except for a few stray clouds that floated across the full
moon every once and a while. I turned on some music and
was looking out my window when I suddenly noticed something,
I wasn't alone. Standing outside, under the dogwood tree
was a girl. She was wearing an all white, old-fashioned
nightgown. She had brown hair (much like my own) and
apperently black eyes. Then I relized something, I could
literally see THROUGH her. As I relized that what I was
seeing was a ghost, she waved at me. I, not really thinking
about it, waved back. She smiled. The strangest, most sad
smile you could ever see. Then, as I watched, she slowly
turned and walked into the trees and disapeared. Yet, even
though I will never know her, it seemed that in that moment
I learned more about her than anyone could ever understand.
