The Man in the Living Room

When I was very little, I had an experience which can only be described as strange.
One evening as my family and I sat down to dinner, I suddenly asked, "Who is that man?". I pointed into the living room, which I had a clear view of since my high chair was aimed directly toward the room. My parents got these strange expressions on their faces, since my dad was the only man in the house at the time and he wasn't near the living room at all.
My dad asked me, "What man, honey?" I got very upset and said, "That man RIGHT THERE in the living room!" They Still had no idea what in the world I was talking about.
So my mom picked me up out of the high chair, set me down on the floor and said, "Show me."
I walked over to the very edge of the living room rug, but would not go into the room. I pointed to a particular corner directly across from me and insisted, "THERE! Right there! He's RIGHT THERE!" Then, I stopped. "Oh, never mind. He disappeared now."
I have not had an experience like this since then. But sometimes when I'm sitting all alone by myself, I get the feeling thet someone's watching me. I have always felt like I have some sort of ability to sense, feel and see things that others can't.
My family had moved into this shortly after the owner, a close family friend had passed away. It needed alot of painting and cleaning, but soon my parents made it into a house where they could raise a family.
The prvious owner was a very kind individual and my father knew him quite well. I can't recall this being an evil kind of experience, so we think that it's just Mr. Mattes (the previous owner) just checking up on us, to see how we are doing and to visit the old house again.
He is greatly missed by all his family and frieds and he is welcome to visit us at any time.
Thanks for listening.
