Ghost Story

This was told to me by my cousin. One night my cousin was driving home from a friends house, his friend lived in a neighboring town about 30 or so miles away....and there is a short cut....an old dirt road that you can take to make the trip shorter... He took the short cut just like he had before.....it was summer time and there was a storm coming....while he was driving....he got a flat tire......he stopped to fix it....and it started to rain....so he got back in his car...and waited to see if someone would pass to help him....as he waited....during a lightening flash.....he noticed two people about a mile or so down the road coming toward the car....thinking they were hitchhikers....he waited for them to approach.....the next lightening flash wasn't even a few seconds....then he noticed that the two people were right behind his car....scared he locked the doors.....then he heard a tapping on his window....he looked at the window and just saw a figure and some eyes....scared he put his head down and started praying....the tapping continued.....growing louder and louder....as my cousin ignored it.....then some it stopped....still scared my cousin lifted his head.....then there was a loud thud on his trunk....like someone jumped on it.....the car was shaking.....my cousin again started to pray....this time he prayed out loud.....then came the headlights of another car.....then the car stopped next to his.....someone else had passed by and stopped to see if he needed any help....my cousin got out and told the man what had happened.....the man had told my cousin that when he was driving up....he had seen the car moving....but that was all he had seen.....the man had helped my cousin fix his tire.....then the man turned to my cousin and said,"Let's get out of here before they come back..."...my cousin had asked him if he knew anything about what had happened there before....the man told my cousin that two hitchhikers had gotten run over by a car a couple of years before on that road.....now they are still looking for the car that ran them over..... After hearing stories like this.....we all stay away from the road at night......
