Ghost Children at Train Tracks
From: Michele Budka (Lady_gypsy@hotmail.com) Story type: Ghost Location: San Antonio, Texas Source: Form Submission
According to the story, 50 or so years ago in San Antonio a
school bus with several kids on it stalled on some railroad
tracks and was struck by a train, killing all of the children.
The accident so devistated the residents of this area, they
renamed the streets names of the children who were killed. Ever
since, if you stop your car near these tracks a mysterious force
pushes the car up an incline and over the tracks to safety. The
theory has always been that the ghosts of the dead children are
responsible. My sister had this experience and I have always been
curious. This year on Halloween there was a report in LA on FOX
News about it so I made a trip there and found the tracks. We
parked about 25ft from the tracks, turned off our car and put it
in neutral. At first nothing happened then the car lurched
forward, rolling up a slight incline. Just as the car was on top
of the tracks, it stopped. I made a comment that this was not how
it was supposed to work; they were supposed to push you to
safety, not leave you on the tracks to get hit by a train (I
don't think trains even run on these tracks anymore). We decided
to try it again and repeated the same steps. This time, when we
reached the tracks there was another, very strong and distinct
"push" that propelled our car up and over the tracks
and down the other side. We all laughed nervously and joked that
the ghosts must have heard me. In the TV report the reporter
dusted his car for finger prints and found some and found more
after going over a second time. They also mentioned people seeing
the ghosts of the children. My sister heard that some people
report, when sitting on the back of their car, actually feeling
pressure (presumably from the children's hands) on their bodies.
We did not dust for prints, did not see any ghosts (though my
sister took pictures of the sight and we are looking forward to
seeing if there are any "ghostly" images in the
photos). I tried to find more info/documentation and any possible
explaination for this phenonenom but have been unsuccessful. I am
haunted by the experience and would love to find more info about
this sight.
