After reading many of the stories within this site I wasn't sure whether or not to post anything but as u can see i did.

Anyway here are my accounts. When I was aged between 3 and 6 I used to hate bedtimes, but not for the reasons that most kids do. Every night I was tucked in bed by either one of my parents, after my parents had tucked me in and had gone back downstairs I would always get a cold feeling. So i would dive deeper under the covers waiting for it to appear.

Every night after being tucked in a figure would appear in my doorway. i could never make out any features all i could see was this orange/golden figure which would walk towards me. As you can imagine i got scared so I would scream. As soon as I screamed the figure would disappear! And my parents would run upstairs to discover nothing.

Also I regularly heard voices calling my name and would try to find them only to discover that no-one had said anything. When I reached 7 more weird stuff began to happen.

My Dad decided to put up a couple of shelves in my room, one was put up over my bed. Once the shelves were done I put some heavy board games on one and a few cuddly toys on the one above my bed. Later, in the evening, my family and i were downstairs watching TV when we heard a crash come from my bedroom so we ran upstairs to see what it was. The shelf above my bed had fell off the wall and landed on my bed.

Coincidence?

Maybe but how would cuddly toys make a crashing sound if falling onto a bed?! Also why did the shelf with the heavy games stay up but the shelf with a few cuddly toys rip away from the wall?!

Not only that but the feeling I got when I walked into the room was not the friendliest I have experienced, to say the least. At night I would regularly have wake up due to an unexplained noise which sounded like someone was chopping food and tenderizing meat in the kitchen.

I told my parents who dismissed it as noises that the house makes when it settles, but I have never heard anything like that in other buildings. In my life living in the house I have also: heard the front door opening only to find it still shut and no-one else in the house; shut a window only to comeback seconds later to find it open with no explanation; experienced sudden and unexplainable dizzy spells often closely followed by a drop in temperature and me fainting.

Whether or not there is a rational explanation I don't know.
